Wiring & Installation Guide
Install Ubiqon on an Orange Pi One, connect the coin slot, and prepare the microSD card for your Ubiqon Piso WiFi system.
Requirements
Orange Pi One single-board computer for the Ubiqon system.
16GB Class 10 microSD card or larger.
Download the latest Ubiqon .img system image.
5V DC, minimum 2A.
12V DC, minimum 2A.
Default Coin Slot Wiring
The default Ubiqon Orange Pi One configuration uses GPIO12 for the coin slot pulse input and GPIO11 for the coin slot set pin.

Flashing the Ubiqon System Image
Ubiqon is distributed as a compressed .img system image. Use balenaEtcher to write the image directly to the microSD card.
1. Download the Ubiqon Image
Download the latest Orange Pi One image from the Ubiqon download page.
Download Ubiqon Image2. Prepare the microSD Card
Use a 16GB Class 10 microSD card or larger.
Insert the microSD card into your Windows PC using an SD or microSD card reader.
3. Download balenaEtcher
Download the official balenaEtcher application for Windows.
Download balenaEtcherOfficial balenaEtcher Windows installer.
4. Start balenaEtcher
Open balenaEtcher on your Windows PC.
5. Select the Ubiqon Image
Click Flash from file and select the downloaded Ubiqon .img file.
6. Select the microSD Card
Select the 16GB Class 10 microSD card as the target drive.
7. Flash the Image
Click Flash and wait for balenaEtcher to finish writing and validating the image.
8. Remove the microSD Card
After flashing and verification are complete, safely eject the microSD card from Windows.
Start the Orange Pi One
- Insert the flashed microSD card into the Orange Pi One.
- Connect the network cable.
- Connect the coin slot wiring.
- Connect the required common ground.
- Connect the 5V power supply to the Orange Pi One.
- Connect the 12V power supply to the coin slot.
- Power on the system.
After Installation
- Allow Ubiqon to finish starting.
- Connect to the Ubiqon network.
- Access the Ubiqon portal.
- Configure the network settings.
- Configure the coin slot.
- Verify the coin slot pulse is detected.
Troubleshooting
Orange Pi does not boot
- Check that the microSD card was flashed successfully.
- Make sure the card is at least 16GB Class 10.
- Check the 5V power supply.
- Use a reliable power supply rated for at least 2A.
Coin is not detected
- Check the coin-slot pulse connection to GPIO12 / physical pin 3.
- Check the coin-slot set connection to GPIO11 / physical pin 5.
- Check the common ground connection.
- Confirm the coin slot is configured for Active High.
- Verify that the GPIO signals are 3.3V-compatible.
